🌍 Universal Guidance: If you are using the trading robot from a country outside Europe (e.g. Australia), follow the procedure below to ensure correct behavior. The details are based on Australia but apply to any distant time zone.

Here is what I suggest to set up your trading robot (US Tech 100) from Australia

1. Select the correct instrument

If the “US Tech 100 Cash (1 €)” CFD is not available in your country, use a similar equivalent.

For example, in Australia: US Tech 100 Cash (A$1). This version closely matches the €1 contract used in Europe and should provide similar behavior and risk profile.

2. Force the European time zone in ProRealTime

The robot has been optimized using the European time zone (UTC+02:00 - Europe/Paris). To match this configuration:

Go to Settings > Data > Time Zones

Select: Display all data in the following time zone: (UTC+02:00) Europe/Paris

Apply the changes and restart the platform if necessary.

This will allow the robot to operate based on European trading hours, just like in the original setup.

3. Do not use the local Australian time zone

Using the local time zone might lead to incorrect interpretation of:

4. Ensure the market is open

Even with the correct time zone, the robot will only function during active NASDAQ trading hours (European time). Make sure you activate the robot during those periods.

5. Compare with a benchmark backtest

Once everything is set up, I recommend running a backtest using your configuration. You can then compare the results with the benchmark backtest available here:

This will help you see if your setup is producing similar performance, and confirm that everything is working as intended.
